All About Animals Rescue will be featured at Macon’s Second Annual “Mardi Gras Block Party”, on Fat Tuesday, February 13, 2018, from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM, on Cherry Street, in Historic Downtown Macon, Georgia.

Please plan to attend this event, and bring your family and your friends to “Pass a Good Time!” Cherry Street will be blocked off to motorized traffic for the fun and safety of the participants.

There will be a live band, dancing, raffles, and planned fun activities for children at this family-friendly event. Children are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite colorful costumes, and they can also bring their dogs. Dress your four-legged friends in their most festive dog costumes, as well!

For a monetary donation to All About Animals Rescue, your child or grandchild can enter his or her dressed up dog in the “Mardi Gras Dog Strut Costume Contest”. The Pooch can either strut on a leash; ride in a stroller; or ride in a child’s decorated wagon. There will be a short parade down a block of Cherry Street for pups and their presenters. A prize will be awarded to the owner of the dog wearing the winning costume.

All About Animals Rescue is a local organization dedicated to reducing the number of homeless pets in Bibb County. They offer free or low-cost spay and neuter clinics for pet owners. They also house homeless animals, especially those who are facing imminent euthanasia, and they host events where these animals are available for adoption. Finally, All About Animals Rescue strives to education members of the Middle Georgia pet community on the importance of being a responsible pet owner through their community education center and outreach.

The Second Annual Mardi Gras Block Party will be a fantastic family event, with something festive and fun for everyone. Come out and support All About Animals Rescue, and enjoy some of the best family entertainment that downtown Macon has to offer. “Let the Good Times Roll!” (Laissez le bon temps rouler!)
