Streetline is a free year-round, comprehensive 501c3 percussion program. Over the past nine years, Streetline Percussion ENT has been providing 30-50+ inner-city youths from our surrounding community with new avenues of living, learning, and self-expression through music. We are an interactive percussion program emphasizing music education and performance as well as character and leadership development.

This year has been a Super DRUMAZING year for Streetline. We’ve traveled to various cities and gained new exposure to audiences and media. We have also gained new members.

In 2018, our young musicians were offered two all-expense paid opportunities to travel on a charter bus to perform outside of Macon, Georgia. The children were super excited! We would like to give big thanks to the lota Sigma Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, incorporated from Mercer University, for providing 50 full meals to the children before boarding the bus for our travel.

We’ve also united with the Achievers, which is a mentoring program that offers enrichment activities through mentoring as well as post-secondary & employment readiness. Mr. Willie Hobes, the CEO and founder of the Achievers, was one of the very first individuals to offer us an all-expenses-paid trip to Cochran, Georgia, to perform.

This year, Fidelity Bank manager Jaquana Barnes Mosley dropped in during one of our practices, as 13WMAZ was there filming a story about Streetline. She offered children’s savings accounts to all members for $1.00. No adult account was needed for the Streetline musicians to open these accounts. Streetline is opening doors towards financial growth to all participants through Fidelity Bank, and we’re proud of our efforts to help our members learn fiscal responsibility while they are growing as musicians and citizens.

Our organization relies on the generosity of individuals like you. Currently, we have over 15 children on our waiting list, and we are specifically seeking instrument donations for our growing program. If you are interested in providing an instrument to a young percussionist through our program, please visit the Streetline Facebook page for more information.
